Thursday night was a blast! Thank you to our amazing PTA for hosting our students at Get Air. I checked in with some of the students on Friday, and they all reported they were not tired. I was shocked! I was tired for them. 😀

Thank you to all the students, parents, and staff who supported the Scholastic Book Fair. I enjoyed watching the students sitting with their new books.

As a reminder, Monday is Labor Day. Enjoy the long weekend with family and friends.

We are celebrating Grandparents' Day on Friday. The students will get to enjoy breakfast and do an activity with their grandparents in the MPR. We look forward to celebrating their grandparents.

On Thursday, September 11, at 8:00 a.m., Eagle Canyon is hosting our annual 9/11 Rally, where we honor our community's first responders. If you or a family member is a police officer, firefighter, paramedic, nurse, or doctor, we would love it if you would come to the rally and walk the red carpet with your child. It is an important Eagle Canyon tradition for our community.

If you plan to make payments to pay for the science camp, the first payment is due this Friday, September 5th. You can also take advantage of the fundraisers to help raise money for your child's registration.

On Monday, our annual Thinknlocal Fundraiser begins. The best part is, you probably shop or dine at many of the participating businesses. All we need you to do is scan your receipt on the Thinknlocal app and give Eagle Canyon the credit.

Eagle Canyon's student attendance will be a focus this year. Attendance in school leads to better performance for children when they are adults.

Another way you can support our PTA and celebrate your child's birthday is to purchase a birthday greeting for $25 that will be displayed on your child's birthday and run for one week. If interested, please stop by the office, complete the request, and submit the payment. Please be sure to plan. We need two weeks' notice before the birthday to ensure everything is timed correctly.

The kids get so excited seeing their birthday highlighted on the marquee. Out of safety, we will never publish your child's last name, only the initial.

Our amazing Eagle Canyon PTA Board has a year of fun planned for our community. Because of your support, they can continue to provide financial support for field trips, culminating activities, grade-level performances, and schoolwide activities. Use the button below to access the link to join.

Each month, Eagle Canyon will focus on teaching students about a character trait. We will share it during our Monday Morning Rallies, and teachers will reinforce it by recognizing one student each month for a monthly award.

A popular fundraising opportunity all families can support is Box Tops. Download the Box Top app on your phone. You must scan your receipts on the Box Top app within 14 days of purchasing. The app will let you know if any purchased items qualify to earn 10 cents per product. If there are not any items, you will still have an opportunity to enter the sweepstakes to win 500 bonus Box Tops. Every receipt has the potential to earn our school money.

As of today, our school has earned $271.60 this year. Our goal is to earn $1,000. Please return the coupons to the school office if you also get them. Be sure to select the grade level that you want to support. Thank you in advance for your support!
