COIN WARS
At Eagle Canyon, the PTA is hosting Coin Wars, formerly known as Penny Wars. This fun competition is a great way to support the PTA. The winning grade level will earn a walking field trip to the park with a special treat.
SCHOOL QUALITY SURVEY
CVUSD published the annual School Quality Survey. If you haven't completed the survey, I would love your input. The survey results help inform our School Plan for Student Achievement. Each parent who sends me proof of survey completion will be entered into a weekly drawing on Monday mornings to win one of five BJs Pizookies certificates.
As of today, 102 parents have completed the survey. That is a great start! Let's double that number and get to 200 by February 20.
If I confirmed you were one of the first 10 to complete your survey, we are waiting on updated certificates. They should be arriving soon.
SPIRIT WEAR SALES
The Eagle Canyon PTA is offering one last opportunity to purchase Eagle Canyon Spirit Wear for the 2025-26 school year. We encourage the students to wear their spirit wear on Fridays. The form is attached and viewable in the Weekly Update.
BEANSTACK
Last month, the Eagle Canyon PTA launched a reading program called Beanstack. It is an engaging way to motivate students to read, and each student accesses the program through their ClassLink account. They can track their time spent reading and log the books they read. Students in Grades 3 - 6 are encouraged to chat with Benny, an interactive bot, to strengthen their comprehension.
As a school, I have challenged the students to read 32,500 minutes by the end of the year. As of today, we have read 16,315 minutes, with Ms. Kline's fifth graders in the lead with 3,429 minutes. Each week, I will highlight students, classes, and grade levels who are making significant reading progress during our Monday Morning Rally.
LOCAL CONTROL ACCOUNTABILITY PLAN (LCAP) PARENT ENGAGEMENT MEETING
