The first two months of school are behind us. The year is already flying by!

Thank you to the families who attended the Graduate Awards on Wednesday evening. We love celebrating our students' successes.

Next year, we plan to recognize more achievements as we will give medals to Advanced or Proficient students on both CAASPP ELA and Math for grades 3-6 and on both ESA #3 in ELA and Math in grades K-2.

We had a wonderful time at the Father-Daughter Ball. Thank you, Mrs. Janecek and her PTA committee, for making the event memorable for our dads and daughters. We have some very talented dads and students. It was fun to watch the limbo and push-up contests. We did something new this year. We had a special dance where we asked the sixth-grade dads to dance with their daughters, and halfway through, we asked the kindergarten dads to dance with their daughters. Seeing our oldest and youngest students dancing with their dads warmed my heart.

I love the renewed energy Mr. Rich, a PTA board member, has brought to Eagle Canyon regarding Box Tops. When I was in the classroom, our class was notorious for bringing in the most Box Tops each month. It is an easy way for all students to fundraise for our PTA.

You should have received a Box Top flyer regarding a school-wide competition. The competition ends Tuesday night. Currently, 75 people have downloaded the app but have not scanned a receipt. If those 75 people scan a receipt between now and Tuesday, the Eagle Canyon PTA will get another $750. We are so close to meeting our goal, let's not pass up on easy money.

Eagle Canyon thrives because of our parent volunteers. To ensure everyone understands the expectations for volunteering on campus or on a field trip, the Eagle Canyon PBIS Tier 1 developed a Parent Volunteer Agreement. Beginning October 1, we would like any volunteers to complete the form as a volunteer prerequisite. The electronic form is linked below. Volunteers must only complete it once for the 2025-26 school year. Google will send your responses to you.

On Thursday, we will celebrate our custodian team. We are so thankful for Alex and Miguel! They have worked so hard this year to keep our campus clean for our students.

Three weeks ago, our annual Thinklocal Fundraiser began. The best part is, you probably shop or dine at many of the participating businesses. All we need you to do is scan your receipt on the Thinknlocal app and give Eagle Canyon the credit.

In the three weeks, we have raised $380.98. Take a moment to review any receipts you have accumulated this week to see if they could earn Eagle Canyon some funds. We are so close to our goal, let's rally this weekend.

Ms. Landgraf, President of the California Association for the Gifted, will provide an informational meeting for GATE parents. Please join us on Wednesday, October 1, at 8:00 a.m. in the MPR.

Eagle Canyon's student attendance will be a focus this year. Attendance in school leads to better performance for children when they are adults.

Another way you can support our PTA and celebrate your child's birthday is to purchase a birthday greeting for $25 that will be displayed on your child's birthday and run for one week. If interested, please stop by the office, complete the request, and submit the payment. Please be sure to plan. We need two weeks' notice before the birthday to ensure everything is timed correctly.

The kids get so excited seeing their birthday highlighted on the marquee. Out of safety, we will never publish your child's last name, only the initial.

Our amazing Eagle Canyon PTA Board has a year of fun planned for our community. Because of your support, they can continue to provide financial support for field trips, culminating activities, grade-level performances, and schoolwide activities. Use the button below to access the link to join.

Each month, Eagle Canyon will focus on teaching students about a character trait. We will share it during our Monday Morning Rallies, and teachers will reinforce it by recognizing one student each month for a monthly award.

A popular fundraising opportunity all families can support is Box Tops. Download the Box Top app on your phone. You must scan your receipts on the Box Top app within 14 days of purchasing. The app will let you know if any purchased items qualify to earn 10 cents per product. If there aren't any items, you will still have an opportunity to enter the sweepstakes to win 500 bonus Box Tops. Every receipt has the potential to earn our school money.

As of today, our school has earned $920.40 this year. Our goal is to earn $1,000. Be sure to select the grade level that you want to support. Shout out to First Grade! They have submitted the most Box Tops since July 1, 2025. Thank you in advance for your support!
