We had another fantastic week last week. We had a great turnout for our first Parent Engagement Meeting. One parent shared they learned so much from the presentation. We look forward to hosting another opportunity in the near future.

Thank you to all the first responders who participated in our annual 9/11 Rally. We had a great turnout of new and returning families to represent our community's first responders. Thank you, Eagle Canyon PTA, for providing a wonderful continental breakfast after the rally. We are thankful for the sacrifices our first responders make for our safety!

We hope to see you on Wednesday evening at Baskin-Robbins for Eagle Canyon's annual Scoop Night. The class with the most participation will earn a PTA-hosted ice cream party.

This week, we have minimum days every day so teachers can meet with you to discuss your child's progress thus far. Mrs. Summerford's class will have class from 11:10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

It is incredibly important for teachers and parents to work together to guarantee our students' success. Be sure to ask about how you can help your child at home. Guaranteeing they get the additional practice at home will help your child master the grade-level standards, preparing them for the next grade.

If you do not have your child's conference scheduled yet, please reach out to your child's teacher as soon as possible.

Two weeks ago, our annual Thinklocal Fundraiser began. The best part is, you probably shop or dine at many of the participating businesses. All we need you to do is scan your receipt on the Thinknlocal app and give Eagle Canyon the credit.

In the two weeks, we have only raised $40.01. Take a moment and check any receipts you have accumulated this week to see if they would earn Eagle Canyon some funds.

Coming up this Wednesday, September 17, we are hosting the Baskin-Robbins Scoop Night, where your favorite Eagle Canyon Staff Members will scoop up some fun for you, and you will support our PTA. 🍨

If your child needs help with homework, they have access to an online tutoring program called Paper. There should be an app on their ClassLink. Please let the office know if your child is having difficulty accessing it.

Ms. Landgraf, President of the California Association for the Gifted, will provide an informational meeting for GATE parents. Please join us on Wednesday, October 1, at 8:00 a.m. in the MPR.

Last week, Eagle Canyon received the official notification that we earned our third Platinum Level Recognition of our PBIS practices. We are the only elementary school in the Ayala feeder to receive this recognition for three consecutive years. Way to go!

Eagle Canyon's student attendance will be a focus this year. Attendance in school leads to better performance for children when they are adults.

Another way you can support our PTA and celebrate your child's birthday is to purchase a birthday greeting for $25 that will be displayed on your child's birthday and run for one week. If interested, please stop by the office, complete the request, and submit the payment. Please be sure to plan. We need two weeks' notice before the birthday to ensure everything is timed correctly.

The kids get so excited seeing their birthday highlighted on the marquee. Out of safety, we will never publish your child's last name, only the initial.

Our amazing Eagle Canyon PTA Board has a year of fun planned for our community. Because of your support, they can continue to provide financial support for field trips, culminating activities, grade-level performances, and schoolwide activities. Use the button below to access the link to join.

Each month, Eagle Canyon will focus on teaching students about a character trait. We will share it during our Monday Morning Rallies, and teachers will reinforce it by recognizing one student each month for a monthly award.

A popular fundraising opportunity all families can support is Box Tops. Download the Box Top app on your phone. You must scan your receipts on the Box Top app within 14 days of purchasing. The app will let you know if any purchased items qualify to earn 10 cents per product. If there are not any items, you will still have an opportunity to enter the sweepstakes to win 500 bonus Box Tops. Every receipt has the potential to earn our school money.

As of today, our school has earned $455.30 this year. Our goal is to earn $1,000. Be sure to select the grade level that you want to support. Shout out to Fourth Grade! They have submitted the most Box Tops since July 1, 2025. Thank you in advance for your support!
