We had a fantastic first week of school! I am excited to welcome so many new families to Eagle Canyon. I have enjoyed getting to know the students while visiting the classrooms.
We have had an influx of enrollment at Eagle Canyon. As such, we had to make some changes in grades 4 - 6. I appreciate everyone's cooperation and understanding during the transition. Classes are all now balanced, and we did not have to overflow any students to other schools.
Safety at arrival and dismissal each day is a top priority. During the first week of school, there were two accidents during morning drop-off. Luckily, nobody was hurt. I realize everyone is trying to get to work, but we must take our time to ensure we maintain a safe environment for our Eagle Canyon community.
Respect is another priority. Living near a school is not always easy for the community members. Please do not use the Eagle Canyon apartments as a place to drop off or pick up your students. Additionally, please avoid parking in front of driveways. We want to maintain a positive relationship with all our neighbors.
Finally, I have noticed parents are getting out of their cars when they are pulling up to the drop-off areas at the cabanas or on Eagle Canyon Drive. If you need to get out of your car to help your children, please find a parking place. When you get out of your car, it impacts our traffic. We want to provide the best scenario to get our students to their classrooms on time.
I appreciate everyone's cooperation. It takes us all working together as a team to make arrival and dismissal less stressful for you.
Thank you for your support,
Mrs. Bearden
